Although primarily a self taught painter, Laureen Weaver has been a student of Irina Johnson(acryllic), Toni Williams(oil) and Karen McGraw(oil & watercolor). She primarily focuses on landscapes, skyscapes and golfcourses which she is passionate about.

Born in Mannville, Alberta, Canada her childhood was influenced by the landscapes of the Alberta Prairies, with rain storms, summer sunsets and moody skies. Today, she finds herself passionate about painting skies and landscapes as they are reminiscent of her childhood. In 1984, she received her Business Degree majoring in Business Administration at NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

After visiting San Diego many times to see college friends, she decided the weather was more enjoyable in San Diego than Alberta year round. At age 24, she moved to the San Diego, California to start a small fitness company which she had for 10 years teaching fitness to corporate clients. Later she went into real estate, holding her broker license for over 20 years. She currently works full time for Willis Allen Real Estate in Rancho Santa Fe, resides at The Crosby at Rancho Santa Fe and paints whenever times allows when not selling homes.
